Premiere of the brand: 2023 (September/October) at Liberty London; perfumer: Jérôme Epinette. Bibbi Parfum is a Parisian brand based on a narrative philosophy, and the founder creates each fragrance as a meditation, an intimate story. The name “Radio Child” is part of this artistic vision, not a definition of the target group. It’s about an aura of curiosity, a certain kind of youthful wonder at the world, not the actual age of the user.
The fragrance has something light, unsettling, and fresh at the same time, but that doesn’t make it a children’s product. In the next part, we’ll take a closer look at the specific notes and practical conclusions regarding safety.
Bibbi Radio Child: a fig signal on the frequency of the skin
Bibbi calls Radio Child ” a young and curious fragrance combining cashmere wood and fig, communicating on its own frequency.” It sounds mysterious, but what does it mean in practice? Let’s take a look at the structure of the composition and how it behaves on the skin.

Nut pyramid and accords
| Phase | Sheet music |
|---|---|
| Top | Black pepper (Madagascar) |
| Heart | Jasmine petals, fig leaves |
| Base | Cashmere woods (Cashmeran), oakmoss, salty musk |
The main accords are:
- Green and woody (dominant)
- Fresh and spicy opening
- Salty and musky note
- Mossy, slightly milky/lactonic finish
Evolution? A sharp, slightly spicy opening quickly transitions into a green-fig heart, which after a few hours transforms into a “skin-like” musky veil with moss and cashmeran. On the skin it stays intimate, while on fabric users report even 12+ hours.

Safety and application
This is a standard EDP (approx. 15-20% concentration), with a base of Alcohol Denat. and typical allergens such as Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Linalool. The composition complies with IFRA guidelines for adults, so the name “Radio Child” is a play on words, not an invitation for preschoolers. Misleading descriptions in Polish stores are the result of incorrect category translations.

The brand and the people behind Radio Child
Bibbi Parfum is a young brand from Paris’s Marais, founded in 2023 by two Swedes: Stina “Bibbi” Seger and Jan Vilhelm Ahlgren. All compositions are signed by Jérôme Epinette, a perfumer known for bold, niche projects. The collection debuted in September 2023 exclusively at Liberty London, immediately giving it a boutique tone. In 2024, Bibbi attracted investment from Fable (Natura &Co) and JamJar, a signal that the brand is planning broader expansion, though it still maintains its niche DNA.
Where to buy it?
The bottle is cylindrical glass with a deep blue, magnetic cap (this Klein-blue shade acts almost like a signature). Radio Child is available in four sizes: 2 ml, 10 ml, 30 ml, and 100 ml. The price for the 100 ml is about €245, which is around 1,179 PLN, and the 30 ml size appears in selected stores. If you want to try it first, the brand offers a discovery set of 5×2 ml, which includes Radio Child.

Where to buy? Directly from the bibbi-parfum.com store, at Liberty (UK/US), Selfridges, Skins, Nose Paris. In Poland: Galilu. Decants (e.g., eBay) are also becoming popular, which makes sense at this price, though that’s already a gray area, not an official channel.

A scent that matures like a memory
Radio Child is proof that some perfumes need time to reveal their true character. This slow evolution on the skin, from fresh notes of currant and tea through warm musk to a vanilla finish, is reminiscent of the way memories gain depth. Not every fragrance is ready from the very first spray, and it is precisely this patience that makes it intriguing.

Maybe that’s why Bibbi named it “Child.” Because just like childhood, whose meaning we only understand with time, this fragrance reveals itself fully only after hours on the skin. It’s neither for children nor easy to grasp, but it’s this very complexity that makes you return to it with understanding.
