Bridget Hall’s biography

A symmetrical face, full lips, large hazel eyes, striking freckles and chestnut hair, plus a perfectly slender figure—Bridget Hall was discovered when she was still a child. Like most young American girls in the 1980s, she dreamed of becoming a model, but in her case, reality certainly surpassed those dreams. She stood alongside the world’s most famous models, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington. Bridget Hall’s biography is filled with the most renowned fashion brands in the world—and not just fashion brands.

Bridget Hall’s biography

Bridget was born on December 12, 1977—a time when the next two decades would prove to be a golden era for fashion and models. Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Claudia Schiffer graced the runways. Each possessed unique beauty and distinct body types. What united all the models of the ’80s and ’90s was their ‘malleable’ beauty. They could transform like chameleons, adapting to the designer, the theme of the show, or the brand. The same was true for Bridget Hall—a woman of remarkable beauty who could embody both a British aristocrat and a seductive Frenchwoman. Her freckles added to her charm, becoming her signature feature.

Beginnings in modeling – an (extra)ordinary girl

When she arrived at the modeling agency in New York, she looked like an ordinary girl you might see shopping or strolling through the city. Even though she was dressed in a grunge style, with long hair falling over her face, she won the hearts of those who decide the fate of models. In interviews, Bridget recalled that during her first meeting, she was told she would be the next supermodel. However, she took it as a polite gesture rather than a real career opportunity. It was youthful skepticism speaking through her.

But before Bridget moved to New York, she took her first steps as a model in Dallas, Texas. She was only 10 years old at the time—she was one of the very young models. Bridget grew up with her mother and brother; her parents divorced when she was a small child.

As a teenager, she began her education at RL Turner High School in Dallas, but did not graduate due to her rapidly developing career and a move to New York. In 1992, she dropped out of school. She signed a contract with Ford Models Agency, earning nearly $10,000 a day.

Successes from the mid-90s

In 1994, Bridget Hall’s face was practically everywhere. In Los Angeles, she reigned on Guess billboards, in a Versace ad she sensually held a finger to her lips, and Pepe Jeans posters hung at Manhattan bus stops. The model was conquering the runways of the most renowned fashion houses, and her face became not only recognizable but also highly sought after by the biggest brands and designers.

Dreams of cinema

Fulfilled in her role as a model, Bridget Hall also sought a place in the world of film. In interviews from the 1990s, she emphasized her desire to make her mark on the big screen. And in a way, she made that dream come true.

Hall appeared in the 1997 documentary ‘Scratch the Surface’ —and in the popular 2006 film ‘ The Devil Wears Prada’.

A career after ‘retirement’

In 2013, Bridget Hall appeared in a series of Rag & Bone ads. Right after that, at the age of 36, she became the face of Prabal Gurung’s fall campaign. She still radiated youthful energy, unique charm, and striking beauty—qualities that had propelled her to the top. The Nepali designer’s autumn looks perfectly complemented her hazel eyes and chestnut hair.
