Givenchy Resort 2025

Hubert de Givenchy, an icon of French fashion, drew inspiration from many sources, but his lifelong muse was undoubtedly Audrey Hepburn, the epitome of British elegance. It is no wonder that, faced with the search for a new creative director following the departure of Matthew M. Williams, Givenchy Resort 2025 collection, created by British designers, exudes clear Anglo-Saxon influences.

While the collection retains Givenchy’s signature Parisian chic, there is a new energy and freshness to it. English accents are present in the cuts, fabrics and details, creating an unusual blend of sophistication and rebellious spirit. Is this the harbinger of a new era for the brand? Only time will tell what direction the fashion house has chosen, but one thing is certain: the Givenchy Resort 2025 collection is an intriguing flirtation with British aesthetics that will surely steal the hearts of fashion lovers.

Givenchy Resort 2025 women’s collection is a tribute to ’90s icon Stella Tennant. In contrast to the more formal haute couture looks presented in fall 2024, these presented a rather relaxed approach to femininity. Characteristic of Givenchy the bold tailoring is enhanced with cheetah-print fur accents, adding zest and character. Evening wear kept it simple, focusing on elegant lines and high-quality materials. The exception was a white dress with pompoms on a crystal mesh, referring to the lively spirit of the Swinging 60s.

“She’s provocative but always chic,” said Venegas, Givenchy’s creative director. “It’s about unwavering confidence.” The collection reflected this concept through bold combinations of colors and textures. This is also visible in accessories such as patent leather stilettos with a paw detail on the strap, referring to Givenchy’s love of cats. Work on detail is strongly visible throughout the collection. In addition to feline motifs, there were also embroidered brand logos on shirt cuffs and delicate jewelry with pearls.

British Style: Givenchy Resort 2025

The Givenchy Resort 2025 men’s collection is a study in contrasts, playing with the duality of masculine nature. On the one hand, we have elegance and chic, represented by colorful tuxedo jackets, referring to the style of the legendary John Lydon, former frontman of the Sex Pistols. On the other hand, the collection reflects ease and nonchalance inspired by the style of Julian Schnabel, an American artist known for wearing pajamas in public.

These two polar opposites come together in the collection to create a unique style. Tuxedo jackets, worn with striped undershirts, nod to the rebellious spirit of punk, while a dressing gown jacket and a matching monogrammed set reflect Schnabel’s artistic nonchalance.

English influences are also visible in the mint cardigan with a jacquard pattern and argyle-inspired intarsia. The brand’s founder once decorated a porcelain tea set with diamonds y. This motif is the epitome of British elegance. So while the collection retains Givenchy’s signature Parisian chic, there’s a new energy and freshness to it. English accents are evident in the cuts, fabrics and details, creating an unusual blend of sophistication and rebellious spirit.
