Loewe Pop-up Store

Loewe Pop-up Store lit up Monday’s media preview of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, becoming an immediate focal point for fashion enthusiasts. Walking into the exhibition, attendees were greeted by the extraordinary space the brand had created for the occasion. It was a remarkable performance that set the mood, both because of the crowd gathered outside and because Loewe is a corporate sponsor of the Costume Institute’s spring 2024 exhibition. The unique initiative previewed the incredible experiences that awaited attendees later in the event.

The theme of this year’s Met Gala was: “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”, and the official dress code was the slogan “garden of time”. Inspired by this concept, the Loewe Pop-up Store brought to life the atmosphere of a Mediterranean garden and the true beauty of nature. This vision was expressed not only in Anderson’s unique designs, but also in the items for sale. The store brought to mind lush olive trees, juicy lemons, and the scents of lavender, rosemary and thyme wafting through the air.

Dresses like Phillip Lim’s “Algae Sequin,” made of biodegradable bamboo and seaweed mesh, were particularly noteworthy. The model of the dress also made an impression Conner Ives’ “Couture Girl,” which was embellished with over 10,000 hand-crafted recycled sequins. But the real gem of the collection was the Loewe coat, which is literally still growing in a glass case on display. It symbolizes fashion’s connection to the constant movement of time and transience.

Loewe Pop-up Store a unique experience

The pop-up store design was inspired by Loewe’s iconic boutiques and the Mediterranean climate. The design included elements such as esparto, handmade ceramic tiles, wooden furniture, raffia flooring and colorful chairs referring to the style William Morris, including one with a neon orange finish.

In the meantime New York designer Derian has poured his heart into creating over 100 unique designs for The Met Store. Each one reflected the theme of the exhibition, from nature to ephemeral beauty, from fashion to rebirth and renewal. His carefully crafted pieces, including buttons, bottle openers, cake stands and other knickknacks, reflect a variety of artistic influences, from the Met’s collection of drawings and prints to European sculpture and decorative arts, as well as Islamic art.

Visitors to the museum can choose from three sections, each offering unique items. From the exclusive Loewe pop-up store, through the collection of refined decoupage decorations created by Derian, to the extensive exhibition catalogue. Fans of the brand can enjoy a wide selection of handbags, small leather accessories and elegant accessories. In turn, John Derian has designed trays, coasters and other decorative gifts that impress with their unique aesthetics and finesse.
